I *heart* them too, DS. You know, I've been watching that show since it went on the air in the '70s. I doubt SERIOUSLY I've missed an episode (including seeing reruns). I've heard some people say-- "Oh-- it went through a bad phase in the '90s" -- or whatever.
I've NEVER thought it was in a bad phase. I've loved it consistently year in and year out all of my life.
Washington Post TV Critic Tom Shales wrote a WONDERFUL book on the history of SNL. Highly recommended if you're a big fan like me.
