Motion in the Ocean...

Okay that sounds dirty, but I don't mean it to be. Last night was Senior Salute at SPU. That means a few hundred members of the Senior class hopped on the Virginia V and took a ride around Lake Washington. It was such a great night. Good music, food, and people. The first picture is me with some of my best friends and the second one is of Brittany and myself.

Goodnight Seattle....

"The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him." Psalm 28

Late Night Television...

Alright fellow bloggers...its time again to make your voices heard (although this time my question will not involve politics!). Who do you like best on late night? Jay Leno, David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, or Craig Ferguson? My vote....Conan O'Brien (not just becuase he has the same last name as Colleen). I think he's halarious. He is downright goofy and strange. That makes me laugh. Second place: David Letterman.

Floating the Nile...

Okay...let's get back on topic. Afterall, this IS supposed to be a blog about my trip. Part of my travels in Egypt will include a cruise on the Nile River (picture of the boat is seen alove). Here's a look at what I will be up to the whole time....
Day 1 Arrive Luxor.Start your tour with a visit to the magnificent Temple of Amon at Karnak and the smaller but still impressive Luxor Temple. Board your cruise ship in time for lunch. The balance of the afternoon is free. (L D)
Day 2 Luxor.Visit the Luxor West Bank to see the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's Temple and the ruined Colossi of Memnon. Returning to your ship, cruise to Edfu. (B L D)
Day 3 Edfu / Kom Ombo.A ride through the town of Edfu brings you to the splendid Temple of Horus. Then continue sailing to Kom Ombo for a visit to the twin hilltop Ptolemaic Temples of Horus the Falcon God and Sobek the Crocodile God. (B L D)
Day 4 Aswan. This morning, visit the Aswan High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple. In the afternoon, a felucca (boat) ride takes you around Kitchner Island. (B L D)
Day 5 Depart Aswan.Disembark after breakfast for independent departures. Alternatively, you may want to join an optional excursion to Abu Simbel. (B)

Here's A Question For You....

We all know Republican President George W. Bush is not popular among a majority of American voters (http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob.htm). We also know the Democratically-controlled Congress is liked even less (http://www.pollingreport.com/CongJob.htm). Which begs the question: Since both are unpopular among Americans, does a particular party have an actual advantage in the upcoming election? Many say the Democratic Party does. What do you think?

Destination: Summer Weddings...

My friend Tyler is getting married to his fiancée Kirstin in Los Angeles. I'll be there.

My friend David is getting married to his fiancée Margaret in Little Rock. I'll be there too.

I Hope I Don't Sound Elitist...

But I'm pretty sure I come from the most beautiful place in Washington State: Gig Harbor.
